Club sports groups fill the Rochester area

When it comes to sports, Minnesota doesn't stop at the Timberwolves, the Twins or even the traditional little leagues. There is an array of preteen to adult leagues in Rochester open to those looking to stay fit with the rest of the athletic community.

Thanks to the Rochester Amateur Sports Commission (RASC), residents of southeastern Minnesota have plenty of seasonal sports leagues at their disposal. Geared especially toward developing individuals between 12 and 18 years of age, the organization boasts ten teams among all four seasons.

From spring volleyball to winter basketball, participating athletes have fun and enjoy competing against each other.

Rochester has a number of sports facilities to host athletic events. The UCR Regional Sports Center, Rochester Regional Stadium and the National Volleyball Center are just three of the quality spaces available to RASC members.

music and more at Crossings Art Center

Though it's called the Crossings Gallery and Gift Shop, the gallery is much more than that. The art center, located north of Rochester in Zumbrota, is a special place for people with an affinity not only for the arts, but who also want to get involved with a tight-knit, welcoming community.

Kids and adults alike should find Crossings entertaining, as camps and classes are offered to youngsters with a passion for art, while the older crowd can enjoy spending time wandering the gallery.

Rochester filled with many extensive shopping centers
